How to Start Making Money Online

The potential to make money online is huge. A website or blog can be a store
front to everyone in the world. Imagine selling a product or service to
500,000 people. Even if you sold something for $2 dollars, simple math
dictates you have just made $1 million dollars.
However, the trick is to have 500,000 people walk into your store front.
Plus, once they walk into your store front or website, they need to have a
desire to buy your product. How do we accomplish this task on the internet?
If you are new to online marketing, here is a golden nugget to success. Start
with something simple and build your store front over time. What do I mean by
that statement? I mean you need to have a starting point and stick with it.
Do not be overwhelmed by all the possibilities in online marketing and things
to learn.
Let me give you an example. Something simple would be to create a Blog. Make
this Blog on a subject that you are passionate about. Something you would
want to write articles to place on the blog. However, it has to be a very
popular subject that will receive a lot of traffic.
What are some of the most popular topics on the internet? Popular topics
include:
Dating, Making Money, Green products, etc.
You can do a keyword search on Google Keyword Tool. Go to the Google search
engine and type in Keyword Tool. It should come up at the top of the list.
Type in the key words to the subject you desire. The Keyword Tool will tell
you an estimate of how many people are searching for information on your
topic.
Go to http://Blogger.com or http://Wordpress.com and open up
an account to create your blog. Blogging is simple and fun. If a blog is new
to you, don't let it intimidate you. The key is to keep clicking that mouse
and reading the web pages. I call it putting in "Mouse Time." Mouse
Time is very important in the learning process.
Once you have created a blog, go to Google's Adsense. You can insert this
kind of advertising on your blog and make money. People use AdWords from
Google on a Pay Per Click (PPC) basis. For example, a business may pay 20
cents per mouse click. If someone comes to your blog and clicks on the ad,
you are awarded 20 cents. Now imagine 100 people clicking on that same ad on
your blog. You just made $20 dollars. What would happen if you got 1000
clicks in one month? Can you see where this is going?
Blogging is free and Adsense is free to join. You can not lose. I encourage
people just starting in online marketing to try this strategy and build a
business from that foundation. A blog can eventually have banners to sell
items, or point them to other affiliate businesses you have joined, or sell
them an audio book, etc. The possibilities are huge. Much success in your
online endeavors.
